Management Services On Call was founded in 1997 by Cameron Cox, III, MHA, FACMPE as a medical billing company. From the initial days as a practice administrator, it was clear to Cameron that the level of expertise and technology needed to efficiently manage the revenue cycle was best handled outside of the daily operations of many medical practices. For 2009, MSOC will have 46 active revenue cycle clients representing 18 specialties, 29 employees, and projected practice collections of $55 million annually.
While growing the medical billing business, Cameron also provided consulting services to physicians looking to start a practice, renegotiate managed care contracts, or develop new business lines. In 2007, consulting work expanded with the addition of both veteran practice administrators and recent MHA graduates.
Most recently, MSOC has responded to the rapidly changing healthcare environment with the introduction of EMR Partners. This Division is focused on assisting practices with the complex transition to electronic medical record systems.
